Vortex should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BARC Formula Renault

I'm just about to buy a Tatus RC98/99 does anyone know where i can get parts and spares?

Think Dallara F3 prices (like £500 for a wishbone) and take an ickle bit off...

JR, You are nothing but a trouble maker,Vortex, don't believe a word of what he says. The most expensive Tatuus wishbone is a bottom rear and we sell them foe £240 each. We can also provide most other things, and anything we can't we can point you towards.

£240 is cheap is it then, when it costs about £25 to make??

I thought Van Diemen always took the pee for Zetec w/bs...

You've gone quiet JR, you're making me nervous. Seriously though, apart from your offer to make me wishbones for £25 to allow me to make a profit retailing them, what do VD wishbones cast for FF's. We used to run a VD Renault and we found that the wishbone prices were about the same as other people were paying for Tatuus and Swift. I would be very surprised if there was much difference. Is a Dallara wishbone really £500 or are you spreading dis-information.

VD do charge that money for Zetec wishbones, yet FF1600 wishbones retail for under £100 - they are the same - probably just a little bit shorter.

Dallara F3 w/bs cost circa £500. Genuine Tatuus RC96-99 w/bs cost only a bit less than Dallara, but I don't think anyone imports them now from Tatuus, hence other people make them for a bit less £.

The material for a (steel) w/b costs tops £10.

JR,
I don't understand about the 1600 w/bones being so much cheaper. Actually the Tatuus price list, which we have, puts the w/bone prices at about the same as we charge. The prices are very strange, somethings are reasonable, some things are dreadfully expensive. I could understand it if they had inflated the prices of the parts most likely to be damaged, but it isn't even that clear.
Tatuus don't even supply them anymore, it isn't just a case of nobody wanting to import them.
You are right that the material costs of wishbones are low, it is the man hours of prepping pieces, loading and unloading parts to the jig during welding and final alignment of the components to the jig to ensure that they will fit the car which costs the money. Plus of course the initial jig costs have to be re-couped somewhere.
You must visit a Renault round sometime and come round and introduce yourself

Most good fabriacators could make the parts you require cheaply if you can take them a pattern and any damaged W/B's to use the ends.

Unfortunately the design of them makes it very difficult to re-use most of the ends. Although it is possible, the time spent in reclaiming them would result in greater cost than stamping out new ones. ( doesn't apply of course if you can re-claim them yourself, but it isn't easy)
The problem with going to someone who isn't making them regularily is that you will also have to pay for manufacture of the jig which can be very expensive.
