This weeks motorsport news mentioned that Pat would have the Fiesta up and running for this one (lucky really as he broke Tracey's 6R4!).

Snow would certainly liven things up a bit

Rallycrossers tend to do it in all weather, with no exceptions! I see Julian Godfrey isn't entered. Anyone know why not?

Nesbitt vs McRae this Sunday-Mondello

Word is from another forum that Andrew will do a head to head race with Alister McRae this Sunday in Mondello park as part of the promotion of the newly formed minicross championship in the Irish Rallycross championship. McRae is also expected to do a demo in John McCluskeys Citroen Xsara WRC Supercar.

Sensational Set of finals; Lloyd Spendlove had a fantastic start comming up almost 5 places in 2 laps; however was struck by gearbox problems and finished the Modified A Final 3rd behind 2nd place Brendan coyne; the heat was won by michael coyne.

The Supercar A Final Was full of action from the off, george tracey and christopher evans were at it from the word go.

A Final Supercar:

1. Carnegie
2. Evans
3. Tracey

Alister Mc Rae and Andrew Nesbitt Appeared out in two supercars and the two promotional junior minis;

McRae won both races; first in mc cluskeys car and second in a Mini; Nesbitt chucked the mini into the kitty litter on the final corner.

Carnegie took the superfinal with evans, mc cluskey and Tracey close ensuit; Michael Coyne yet again made the superfinal and finished the day well up. Good Luck to the track cleaners after carnegies doughnuts!!!!!!!!

More Pictures to follow.

Great to see a driver like Alister McRae at a rallycross meeting, that's got to be a positive for the sport.

From Peespeeds photos (nice work ) I see that Terry Briggs was out again in the Clio - how was it looking? It was flying in testing at Lydden last year and looked much closer to the pace than I'd expected in the August bank holiday meeting. It'd be good to see Terry doing well as he's obviously put a lot of time and effort into that car and it's certainly a unique car.

No sign of Pat Doran though - anybody know why? Fiesta still not ready (and Tracey's 6R4 already junked)?

Terry's car seemed to be a bit closer to the pace of the front runners but lost alot of power in the Superfinal and sounded very rough. I did see his crew changing coils during the day as it had a bit of a misfire. I know RallyX is a rough(ish) form of Motorsport but the Clio would look stunning with a fresh coat of paint and some new stickers but I think Terry's main aim is to get the car mixing with the big boys.

Pat was a no-show, didnt hear why.

I wouldnt be surprised if you saw a Scotsman in the 6R4 later in the year.
