About Gurston ..............

Before you read anything else about Gurston

1. I am not, have never been, and never intend to be a hairdresser.

2. Or a receptionist.

3. It is not mandatory for Pimms to be drunk by girls.

4. No I will not be ashamed to take my car to the driving school.

5. No formal decision was made about the moonie/flash G.I.T. debate.

6. There is no evidence that will stand up in a court of law that I invited anybody from Shelsley.

7. It wasn't my idea.

8. About the naked racing. I was young, naieve and needed the money, and he said he wouldn't keep the negatives - how was I to know it was a digital camera.

9. Yes it was another stupendous weekend at Gurston - thanks all.

Prints or e-mail copies of the pictures may be available for a large fee, or if anyone in them upsets me.

It was a great weekend. Thanks to all, especially the crew on Finish Line who dealt with a very big accident in a calm and professional way.

Here's to the next one!

You definitely did invite some of us from Shelsley, but I'm sure they won't hold that against you. I'm glad you did, though, because we had a great time. Pass on our thanks to all the G.I.T.s for the welcome which exceeded friendliness. See you again next year.

And having seen the photos, I can confirm there is nothing that would stand up in court. Or anywhere else...

Have yet to see any piccies - is there anywhere we can see them that doesn't contravene acceptable use policy?

NO. Absolutely not. I'm still having nightmares and I only saw them on a 1inch screen.

I'll echo these words but have to pass comment on the radio call from Finish-Line....:

Finish to Control: "I don't care what you've got down there, send it all and SEND IT NOW!!!!"

Not quite out of the training manual but boy did it get the message over which, having seen the piccys and spoken to Rescue, was absolutely nescessary!!

As IC Finish Line I don't recall that message, maybe it came from Shepherds Hut, I just remember turning to watch the car through the section and it was'nt there!

Priority!Priority!

I'm sure it was your dulcet tones on the radio, but I could be wrong. From what I heard it was the right call though - glad the driver was OK,

It's amazing what you do or say automatically though. I once attended a really serious-looking F3 incident. When discussing it afterwards I asked who had called the Rescue Unit because it arrived reaaly quickly. "You did" came the reply...

Just a quicky............
Had my first visit to Gurston last weekend..........
Both my family and myself were very impressed with the whole set up.....
Both on and off track.....
Makes a nice change to be welcomed at a restaraunt....Take note caterers.........And not have to pay extortionate prices...
I do have one bit of bad news though.....................

I will be back...................
Hahahaha
