Fire, you can't pick Montoya. If you pick Rest of the grid, you will get $ 10,000 if anyone not in the 19-driver finishes in the top 5.

Great, we have a full four-better bench again! I thought I would have to make a top 3 rule to encourage full-season entries...

So, here's the results of the 2012 Old Dominion 500 at Martinsville:
o- Polesitting driver ($ 300): Johnson (4 to 1) o- Polesitting brand ($ 100): Chevrolet (3 to 1) o- Winning driver ($ 1,000): Johnson (4 to 1) o- Winning brand ($ 500): Chevrolet (3 to 1) o- Top 5 ($ 200): Johnson (4 to 1), Kyle Busch (10 to 1), Kahne (6 to 1), Almirola (50 to 1), Bowyer (10 to 1) o- Top 10 ($ 50): Johnson (4 to 1), Kyle Busch (10 to 1), Kahne (6 to 1), Almirola (50 to 1), Bowyer (10 to 1), Keselowski (4 to 1), Gordon (10 to 1), Vickers (50 to 1), Labonte (50 to 1), Biffle (6 to 1) Fieldodreams79 picked Johnson for the pole and earned 1,200. Gomick and Fieldodreams79 earned $ 300 for picking Chevrolet for the pole. Nobody picked Johnson for the win or any finishing position. Fire got $ 1,500 for choosing Chevrolet for the win. Fire also cashed $ 2,000 for picking Bowyer for the top 5 and $ 300 for choosing Biffle for the top 10. Meanwhile, NaBUru38 and Fieldofdreams79 earned $ 2,500 for picking the rest of the grid for the top 10 (three drivers did that). Here's the 2012 Bet 'Em CupContest results at Martinsville round 7: 1st - Fieldofdreams79: 1,200 + 300 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 2,500 = 4,000 2nd - Fire: 0 + 0 + 0 + 1,500 + 2,000 + 300 = 3,800 3rd - NaBUru38: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 2,500 = 2,500 4th - Gomick: 0 + 300 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 300 Fieldofdreams79 narrowly beat Fire for the win. Fire could have triumphed had he kept the rest of the grid bet for the top 5. Standings of the 2012 Bet 'Em CupContest after round 7: 1st - Fieldodreams79: $ 34,550 2nd - NaBUru38: $ 16,350 3rd - Gomick: $ 14,300 4th - Fire: $ 7,000 5th - JHamilton: $ 0 I've pulled a gap to Gomick, but Fieldodreams79 still dominates the earnings. Bets for Texas round 8 will open in a few minutes. Have fun! |
