CTCRC Mallory Classic Festival 29th July
The next rounds of the CTCRC Championships will take place at Mallory Park on the 29th July, as part of the CTCRC Classic Festival!
Lets get those entries in ASAP and get some big grids to help add to the already spectacular levels of competition that have been shown over the year so far! All championships will feature with two races, meaning that there will be plenty of action for both the competitor and spectator alike. |

Mallory Park is shaping up to possibly having the best Thunder Saloon Grid in years and possibly the most BHP ever gathered together in a single Club Saloon Car grid ever, with the front 4 rows probably adding up to over 5000 BHP to start with, if we have Darren Bly's Skyline, Andy Robinsons Falcon, the Fletcher/Frogatts Scoobies and Stacy Vickers's RX7 back and we get Alex Siddall's Holden V8 Supercar and Ron Kiddell's Skyline :'0)
Should be a fanatastic weekend |

For anyone who is interested this meeting is a bit of a bargain and correct me if I have facts wrong but if anyone wanted 4 races and two quallies in a day and have the right car to qualify for two races then this has to be a very attractive price by todays standards. £280 for two 15 minute races and a 15 minute qually and just an extra £100 to do a second pair of races and a qually so I work that out at just £4.22 a minute track time for anyone who sees that as very important! Oh and according to the CTCRC website it looks like its going to be televised as well!

its certainly looking to be a good meet, and with the added televised feature, I'm sure its going to pull in some very nice grids indeed!
So if you wan't to race at a good price rate, with added TV coverage, then I think nows the time to do it! |

Unfortunately it also clashes with Bernies V8's at my favourite circuit Donington so I am torn as well but the TV coverage and good value may swing it. As Andy says you cannot be in two places at once! Now if anyone out there wants to advertise on my car for the entry fee and some fuel I am all ears (be the cheapest TV advertising you will ever buy lol), it will get noticed because of what its is the Motors commentator stating it was his second favourite car at the last televised meeting and that was after Dave Howards Jag although will not be at the sharp end.

I'm sure this is going to be a great meeting, and of course it also features the third round of the Alfa Romeo Owner's Club's new series - one qually and two 15-minute races for £280. The first two races have seen some good dices throughout the field, and if the inaugural AROC race at this meet last year was anything to go by, these races will be no exception.
There will be extra awards for this round of the Series, courtesy of Roz Shaw and GTS Motorsport - Roz of course won both races at the first round at Silverstone, but will I'm sure be pleased to have stiff competition again this time. If anyone with an Alfa has any queries about entering this event, feel free to get in touch with me - amongst other things I'm one of the AROC Board members and if I can't answer your queries I can certainly point you at the correct person. More info is available on the AROC website, of course. |

Thanks for the list Al. This is my only visit to Mallory this year and it looks to be a good one as I'm making it a double header with the HRDC at Donington on Saturday thanks to a cheap deal at the Premier Inn just down the road.

There should be a few Alfas for you as well as Pete Edwards and the Alfa Romeo people have been working hard to get that up and running. This meeting will also be televised.
