Harvick is a punk!

Anyone else think Harvick should be reprimanded for writing off Jeff Gordon? Especially since they both are up there in Winston Cup points.

And, what’s up with becoming 1st place on a pitting technicality. Is that the state of competition racing today?

yes the pit stragtegy was a very lucky move- but full course cautions on roadocurses in Nascar is another issue- they really shouldn't do it the oval way.
And HArvick should have his place points removed from that wrecking. what a prick, he saw it coming and hit him not once but ywice there in lies the problem, gordon could have coasted to 10th or maybe stayed up and gotten 5th or so.
They should review it and award gordon the points, or as that would have brought out a caution, the way the cras were when Robbie crossed the stripe, is how points should be awarded, noone stopped or slowed with the wreck on the straight it could have been awful

Hrmmm, don't you think if he saw it coming, he would have gone around him and not lose a position?

Jeff was out of gas. Period. He knew it & should have gotten out of the racing groove & let the other cars pass safely. But he didn't.

He was doing a weaving maneuver. Some view it as a blocking move. Other say he was trying to force any remaining gas into the uptake.

Later, when interviewed- he said he was trying to get out of Kevins way- but his engine was not running- so he couldn't control the car because of the lack of power steering.

If his car wasn't running....well.... so much for the forcing the gas in the intake theory! The car was stalled- can't force gas up the intake if the car's engine isn't running.

Regardless of it all--- Jeffie should have gotten out of the racing groove. He didn't.

BTW- if he can't handle a car with no power steering---then he's the worlds biggest wuss.

now don't attack a 4 time champion for being a little tired at the end of a major race in a tin top...
and this is covered over at "the GLEN" thread.

Seems to me that my post was completely on topic.

Jeffie wasn't too tired to attempt to block both Jr & Kevin from passing.

Besides---aren't ALL the drivers tired at that point?

& WTH does a tin top have to do with it?

sorry about tintop- I just wouldn't consider them 'stock' anything, and anything with a roof is a tintop eh?
well don't get started on carbon roofs, or that they are metal...

No,Jeff Gordon shouldn't be awarded the lost points because of the tangle with Kevin Harvick,Jeff ran out of gas, that was His own teams(Robbie Loomis)fault, not Kevin Harvick's fault, though I still don't condone what Kevin did there hitting Jeff twice, that would seem to indicate that it was done on purpose with a side benefit of helping Himself advance in the point standings,by helping Jeff lose as many as 100 points, that's big!

neckcar won't do anything...
neckcar is all about feuding and fighting..

Only 10 days to Bristol - hmmmm, could be exciting!

Nascar is just lapping up all this drama (like botsquad said).

Night race at Bristol is the best race of the year!

If NASCAR has any problem they call the drivers into the red trailor. Jeffie whined & cried FOUL- & they did call Kevin in. He didn't get into trouble, he didn't get fined- or even warned. WHY??? Because he couldn't help it. That's what happens when cars that are out of gas try to block.

That's what I was saying with my other thread. Short tracks are the best races of the year. Could you imagine if those gorgeous cars raced a dirt track similar to bristol!

That would be the racing event of the year!

Never liked him, and never will like him after what happened at Richmond last weekend. Yes Rudd took full responsibilty of the wreck, then after the race, Harvick comes over and tries to start stuff. Then after he said Rudd will get his. Atleast Rudd admits stuff when hes wrong.

I thought Ricky Rudd really handled that situation very well & with class, unlike Kevin Harvick,Whom seems to be able to dish it out(punting),but can't take being punted,it's a 2 way-street,live by the punt & die by the punt IMO.
Although Kevin didn't seem to have class in that situation,His car owner Richard Childress did offer to pay the bill for the torn up sheet-metal on Ricky's hood.
