Factory Support
As a bit of an off shoot from the Subaru thread, how about the forum members put on their investigators hats for a moment, and make note of which companies are actually spending money in motorsport. Which series, drivers, teams, cars recieve factory backing?
A few car company names to fill some blanks with- Ford Holden Mazda Daewoo Kia Daihatsu Mitsubishi Subaru Toyota Lotus Nissan Rover Audi Honda Hyundai Suzuki Volvo VW Lamborghini Ferrari BMW Citroen Peugeot Renault Saab Lada etc etc What do you think these companies could get involved in? |

I would love to see some more manufacturers in Formula 1. If they had a few more of these bigger manufacturers than the cars down back would start to get closer to the front.

I did here Cadillac will run a LMP at Lemans this year to test an engine which is rumoured to be bound for F1.The same person also said that a Japanese manufactuor had had talks with Paul Stoddard with the look of investing in Minardi next year.Until I can get some conformation of both they will remain as rumours.

I can also tell you that Proton and Seat have BTCC programs running and I believe that Alfa Romeo has a ETCC effort.
