I can only attend on the Friday and Sunday, would they want me there for that? It would only be the 2nd time I've been on the bank too, do higher profile events want more experienced Marshals?

We can't give a definative answer here - you'll have to go to Mildred.
btw Haystacks I lost my WTCC sticker - it just did'nt stick. But at least we had our own guys on the gate for WTCC. I would imagine it'll be tricky explaining it to DTM's guards. and have we all seen that David Scott has written agreement to 2 per post for the Saturday taxi guff at the end of the day. Volunteers will be bribed, sorry rewarded in the usual manner. Last edited by Bodysnatcher; 13 Aug 2008 at 15:37. |

Sign-on Saturday
I hope everybody has noted Saturday sign-on time -- 6:30 -- 7:15 -- to allow for DMSB system and safety- and R-car checks (8:15 -- 8:35), on-post at 7:45, track inspection at 8:00. Apparently DMSB wanted a much earlier on-post/inspection time, but Dave Scott managed to make them see sense, as with the taxi rides.

and I don't live far away..
Saturday, see you all at 07:14 and 59 seconds, Bev will be just behind me.
Please Herr S, can posts 4a and 10 be excused the safety car stuff as we have no flags or safety car boards? On post 08:45 perhaps? No? Then we'll be sleeping soundly as your boys do their thing. (and they wanted earlier!) Ho hum, just as well then that those of us not required to supervise playtime at the end will be off to the bar at 1700. |

And for the taxi rides too, I appreciate the brekkie! |

Well, I've done DTM for the last two years, and had decided some time ago not to do it this year for various reasons (oh alright - taxi rides and the interminably long F3 races, plus REM at Twickenham), have to say I think that Saturday sign on time is a mickey take of the highest order - on post 1h 15 mins before practice starts? Madness, and designed to annoy people.

Is there a timetable for all 3 days available anywhere?
Edit: Found it: https://tickets.motorsportvision.co....atch%20DTM.pdf Last time I checked the MSV site it wasn't up. Last edited by BertMk2; 18 Aug 2008 at 13:52. |

Can anyone tell me if there's electric hookup on the marshals campsite for this event? Accessible outside drinking water taps?
Thanks! |

I don't think there are hookups DS but there was a portable shower unit last year.
