We Few, We Gallant Few - Karts @ Mallory

What can I say, what a lot of super heros you all are, with less than 1 'proper' marshal per post, the meeting looked in doubt, with the MSA Steward shaking his head, but with your sterling efforts it happened, and wasn't it worth it? I'll say.
By coercing Mechanics, Drivers Wives and for me at the Hairpin the Sprint Commentator we did it, and were richly rewarded with some Kart racing that beggared belief - WOW.

All 11 of you were stars but special mention must go to Callum Linnett & Kyle Martin for sorting the paddock gate out and my beloved Elaine, who not only ran the circuit single handed from Race Control but managed to get £60 put behind the bar from the Organising Club for the Marshals refreshment at the end. I'm ashamed to say we only drank £49-70 of it!

I'd have to agree with that, the meeting today wouldn't of gone ahead without the volunteers, so a big thanks to all that helped marshal to let the meeting go ahead.

As a karter, it was great to see the sprint cars again, although i daren't think how much that Audi TT will cost to repair

Once again a big thanks to all that volunteered.

First time I have ever seen the SuperKarts. I looked very hard at the gate to see if I could see the bin that the drivers leave they're fear in, but I couldn't. All I can say is that you all have some big B***S to get in one of those things & hurtle it around the track at those speeds. Absolutely awesome to watch. I turned to the young lady that I had the pleasure of being posted with, after the first flying practice lap & my mouth was wide open unale to find the words to describe them. She just smiled & said "you've never seen them before then."

Yes that Audi certainly made a bit of a mess, well ok then, a lot of mess. Looked like the after burners on Concorde when it went past me. Big hole being burnt in the wallet as well as the back end.

Again thanks to all the "extra marshals" that turned out on the bank. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed having you.
