Who will be the next big thing in V8's?
i think on the Red side Lee Holdsworth has what it takes, as dose Shane Price wil Perkins Jnr not far behind, on the Blue side Will Davison just needs a slightly better car and Shane Van Gisbergan seems to look a promising prospect for SBR, and just as Winterbottom did in 06 Whincup is showing what he can do consitantly.

I think the V8 Supercar world is James Courtney's oyster.

I think when Coulthard is out of old Astro and into a new VE he will be one of the new guard to watch aswell.

Pauls VE hasn't been that good or is that Pauls not that good? I would like to see Coulthard in a better car than a PMM one altogether and will reserve full judgment on Coulthard till he is in a better car, although from what i have seen so far of him he seems to be a decent talent.

Judging by the fan base he has built up around here lately, the next big thing in V8s would surely have to be David Besnard................

his fan base has certainly grown.
but i do have to say he has good experience on the dirt maybe he should give up on the v8's and take up a rally career if he can combine his speed (that he has shown in the rare occasion he is not off the track and experience of driving on the dirt than there is no reason why he can't have success. |

I've always thought of him a bit like Wayne Waikfield - a blindingly fast driver, no question, but will the car be brought back in one piece?

I still reckon Steve Owen could do the biz in the right car.
Not sure if you could call Steve the 'next big thing' though, the boy has been around awhile.. I have to agree with pro racer (you will always be pwr fan to me ) on the Lee Holdsworth call, it's looking like a very bright future ahead for the youngster. |

I hear you can get a pro to do almost anything provided you have the cash, but I didn't know they raced Pros.

I think that the opening post of this thread should have been removed because it is completely illegible.

What about the young fellow who drives for DJR in Fujitsu?
Is it Thomson? He's going to be a gun... |
