I'm guessing that means that a new title sponsor will probably need to be found for the Townsville race as United Petroleum have their own ethanol production facilities, although I'm not to sure where to fuel has been manufactured for the last few years.

But could this be to do with the fact that Shell is rumoured to be shutting down its petrol stations? What will Coles do now - LOL, go into Partnership with BP or just take over the servo's? |

United's petrol station network is apparently for sale now as well. This deal is more than likely a means to raise the profile of that business prior to the sale process..

Frustrating for the teams though, E85 from different sources can have vast effects on the performance of the engines so they will have to go and re-map everything for the new fuel, when they can get their hands on it, which doesn't give them the greatest time in the world for the test day...

As far as I am aware the source is the old CSR refinery in Dalby for both root stocks.
It is not like the are changing to Grain based from Barawatha or Soy from Wollongong (mostly US imported) Fundamentally it is a change in marketing name, not fuel |
