It isn't a track yet, but google search points to Emerald Lakes being on the Gold Coast.

Looks to me like a "track" for golf buggies only. With all those accommodation buildings, the NIMBIES would certainly stop any car racing in the vicinity!

This isn't a trick question is it?
IE: that is a picture of a housing estate that once was a racetrack...?

(I say Southport, qld)

Me thinks it is the depression that once was Surfers Paradise, with turn one somewhere near the E and the hill somewhere near the C and G. She's been dug up for a couple of years now with various canals created. The old Southport track was huge, and has been developed beyond recognition for a long while now...

TSR- hrrmmm, when you consider that the emerald lakes golf club is just to the west of the old surfers track, and the fact that the road address of this joint is that of the old surfers, i's say it's the old surfers

W D Jr- the road at the top is the same old road that always ran between the track and the water gardens/Nerang River.

It is indeed the sad demise of the old Surfers Paradise International Raceway. I guess that answers the question of what do you do with flood prone land. Flood it.

For those that didn't know this track here is a link to the layout.
