GP2 rounds 1-2 from Barcelona
1st race of GP2 this weekend
hope for a rain delay in the tennis for live 1st race action otherwise here are the times tennis permitting on Saturday 6.30pm on Eurosport 2 but no such issue for the Sunday race on Eurosport 1 at 9.35am Live. |

the forecast says showers Saturday of the heavy nature meaning maybe a SC start if that happens at 3.00pm BST time and drizzle for Sunday (in other words not a lot of dry racing)

Sam Bird's fastest lap from practice was only 7 tenths off Senna's HRT time from FP1. Senna hasn't really stepped up has he?!

Missed my point Wasn't saying anything at all about judging Senna, more judging the pace between GP2 and Hispania's dreadful car. A GP2 car shouldn't be that close pace-wise to an F1 car, how unfortunate for Senna and Chandhok. Bet they are both dreaming of how good and well balanced their iSport car was compared to the HRT!

Please keep the thread on topic guys n gals, HRT has no place in this discussion regardless of who's driving for them!!!
Unlikely as it maybe but can someone post basic grid positions or something in case some folks are completely unable to access the GP2 site? Many thanks! |

Been watching the last 20mins or so, anyone know why Bird is carving his way through the field and Bianchi is nowhere to be seen?

...and after tennis, Race 1 was broadcasted at Fox Sports LA. Bianchi lost it at the start on a clash with Vietoris. Pérez was the leader until had problems on his pitstop, then Pic inherited the lead and grabbed his first GP2 Series win. Ricci and Clos completed the podium, Pérez finished 4th.

Crap start from Bird, and Bianchi got in a tangle, pity I thought both ART boys would be sipping the champers this afternoon. Bloody strong drive from Bird back to 9th from the back, how many shredded wheat did he have for breakfast? Would love to see what Bianchi could have done.....
