I *should* be there Chris. But can I pray for rain in the Rockingham area on Saturday ?! I'd love to do both and people keep trying to persuade me to go to that horrible oval place instead. Rain would make my choice much easier!

Why my cousin decided to schedule a twenty-first birthday party in deepest rural Somerset that day I really want to know.

Nowhere is safe from the XR2s and Caterhams, Dave

If there's any rain scheduled to be at Oulton on Saturday, I'll try and persuade it to make a detour over Rockingham

The top floor of Race Control, possibly!

Last time I was at Lodge for an XR2 race the first thing we saw for the first two starts was the red flag - their race was then put back to the end of the day.....

Oops, forgot to post the timetable, what I received on Monday..

Here goes:

XR Challenged - 8:45
Europa Sports/Saloonatics - 9:10
FF1600 Post 86 - 9:35
Caterham roadies (A) - 10:00
FF1600 Pre 87 - 10:25
Global Lightweights - 10:50
Mighty Minis - 11:15
Caterham roadies (B) - 11:40
Super Mighty Minis - 12:05

Lunch break, until 13:15, then races. All in above order, and all "about 15 minutes duration", except Roadies (A) who will be causing havoc for 30 minutes. Anyone waving a yellow flag is advised to bring muscle relieving spray

They've been known to make mistakes in the past - 'specially where it comes to event schedules

Octagon say this is a Saturday only experience..

Perhaps Oulton have decided to beat Donington at their own game and go for a 'really' late running meeting.

Chris have you cleared your Flight Path with Air Traffic Control at Ringway?

Whereabouts will you be parking or is it just potluck and you take what space there is available?

I'm looking forward to the Europas a really motley crowd of cars of all shapes and sizes but great racing.

I shall be on my bestest behaviour, as far as staying on the ground.. (please note, does not apply to kerb-hopping, which is mandatory)

Parking wise, we appear to be opposite the petrol station, on the left as you come in through the paddock gates. Near scrutineering, and more importantly, the bar Global Lights are opposite us, against the fence, so I fully expect some of them to invade our space at some point during the day..

Woodybloke - Voggie is feeling better than ever! I've repaired the rear camber brackets (so no 4-wheel steering for me), I've aligned the rear wheels, and I've cured the bizarre 'hiccup' from the engine when putting your right foot down hard (it was a collapsed vacuum pipe). I've also fixed a blowing exhaust, and it all feels a bit smoother now. We'll see if that translates to anything when the green light comes on!

WOW seems like Voggie is ready for action.

Unless Phil coughs up the dosh for Rockingham (very unlikely) we will both be there. And with a good ish start it means we can leave at a reasonable time.

Can't wait to see you all - hugs x

Well, 'twas a very good race, despite the licence-related sillyness.

I started off last after qualifying out of session, gained about 5-6 places on the first half lap, and eventually finished 13, about 13 places higher than I started.

Also, 5th fastest lap... I'm quite pleased with that overall - I guess the little mods I did to Voggie worked a treat..

Roll on Snetterton next weekend!

Nice to see everyone that came - hope I put on a good show

That was an impressive performance!

Are you going to explain the 'licence-related silliness?' Enquiring minds need to know!
