Crankshaft regrind
I need to regrind the crankshaft for my Sunbeam engine, so I asked the first name a saw, and it was Gosnays Engineering (£108). Any ideas about other alternatives in the south of England?

Do a search on engine reconditioners, I don't suppose thats to bad, I seem to think it was about £25 when I used to do them, but that was nearly 30 years ago.

That's not too bad, does it include polishing the journals and cleaning the oil ways as well? Be careful with Gosnays as they seem to do exactly as you ask on some occasions and on others they do what they feel like doing.

Middlesex Rebore of Mill Hill North west London are a good reliable company been going since i was a boy and thats a long time believe me. I use Bob Harman in Watford currently as he is a V8 specialist but will do all types I even see him doing an 8 litre monster Bentley crank last time I was in there and tiny little porsche heads and cranks been going a long time and knows his stuff, he does balancing as well all in house.
