Russell-Alexis? That was one of the first formula Ford cars from 1967/68 -- built in the UK.

Alexis was a British race car manufacturer and came to a marketing agreement with the famous Jim Russell Racing Drivers School at Snetterton to help promote their new car, the Mk14 in 1967. Hence the Russell-Alexis Formula Ford with 1600cc Cortina GT engine.

Roth.

The Australian connection came from Bill Harris , who together with Alex Francis formed Alexis cars in 1959 in the U.K.
Prior to the F.Ford range of cars , were F.Juniors, F3 and F2 .
Apparently 57 production Russell- Alexis cars were build ,prior to Russell's Racing driver school reverting back to the Lotus fold.

Bill Harris lived about 5 miles from me and passed away about 4/5 years ago.

Bryan.
