FRC Round 2: Barcelona 1000K
This is the official prediction thread for Round 2 of the 2008 Fantasy Racing Challenge. Round 2 is the Barcelona 1000K, which is a new event for the Lemans Series. It is also the season opener for the LMS. Pertinent information can be found as follows:
The entry list: http://www.lemans-series.com/ml/imag...entry_list.pdf The event schedule: http://www.lemans-series.com/ml/imag...11th_march.pdf If you have not read through the rules and information thread, please do so, as the format is somewhat unique. Your submission should include your pole prediction for each class along with your pick(s) for each class winner. Reminder: You can pick up to three cars for your class winning choice. I have no set format for submitting your picks as long as it is easy to follow. A submission for P1 might look like this: P1 Pole: Audi #2 Winner: Audi #1, Peugeot #7, Pescarolo #16 All predictions should be in by 13:15 (1:15pm) local time Saturday, April 5th. The deadline is 1 hour prior to qualifying. Good luck to everyone! |

LMP1 cant see anything other than an Audi or Peugeot winning unless they take each other off.
Pole #8 Win #1 or #8 LMP2 - this is such a hard one to predict Pole #34 Win #34 GT1 Pole #72 Win #72 GT2 Pole #96 Win #96 or # 77 I did really want to pick the Aston in GT2 but the head has ruled the heart. Good luck to all and just hope it is a great spectacle. |

Hello
This is going to be quite a tough one considering the number of new cars to the series. Having said that I can't imagine Peugeot getting beaten in the first race! I was also impressed how quick they were at Sebring. Fast but fragile perhaps, but I don't think the R10 is quite the sure fire winner the R8 was either. LMP1: Pole: #7 Peugeot Win: #7 Peugeot LMP2: Pole: #34 Porsche Win: #31 Porsche, I would like to say the #25 RML Lola would take the win but after two years in the ALMS, the Porsche RS Spyder just seems so much better than anything else in LMP2 at the moment. GT1: Pole: #72 Corvette Win: #72 Corvette I'm just think LAA have the experience and the car to win the first race. GT2: Pole: #96 Ferrari Win: #96 Ferrari Lots of potential winners here but this Ferrari and driver pairing are very strong although I think the #77 Porsche will run them very close. Sorry for all the chat but I'm quite excited about this series. Nick |
