We missed your feed on the Motors TV coverage of Road America, John.
While the Speed commentators were decent, the "fill-in" we got during the US adbreaks was abysmal. Totally clueless and couldn't even pronounce half the names including Lehto. It spoiled my enjoyment of the programme. Haste ye back to the telly, John. |

I listened to the Qual sessions on Saturday on the site....
The announcers did a great job with it, and really seemed to cpature the excitement of the sessions...especially the final minutes of the LMP1 & 2 qualifying.... Made me feel like I was right there.... |

Whilst I agree that "fill in" commenator wasnt very good, it didnt really spoil my enjoyment of the programme. Sure it could have been better by having a "fill in" commentator that was half decent but the rest of the programme was great, Kicking back to be honest I just think we should be greatful to Motors TV for their continuing support of sportscar racing. No other European TV network gives sportscar racing this kind of commitment, not even Eurosport. Not even close. Think back 2 years, would we have had live coverage of ANY endurance sportscar racing series over here in Europe other than FIA GT? Nope. So stop whinging lol.

I agree whole-heartedly. It just annoyed me at the time. As a broadcaster myself, I hate to hear the art being done badly! Now, if Motors would like to engage my services.... |
