N.A-D.R should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2010 Facts, rumours and speculation...

2010 news. Expect Albers to be back on the grid again, most likely with Team Rosberg or Team Phoenix. Great news as it most likely will spice up the grid. The news comes from when he was quoted, His future is still shrouded in mystery. Though. Laughing, he told the Telegraph reporter: "I see you next year in the DTM "

http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/au...n_Japan__.html

I translated this page to read it though.

A bit of end of season musing....

For the past couple of seasons, I've been thoroughly disappointed with the impact two particular drivers have made in the championship. They were hailed as Audi's future star drivers but they achieved very little in the DTM. Curiously, they’ve shown they do have what it takes in sports car (2008 LMS drivers champions) but year on year they seem to finish low down in the DTM standings and this year have been soundly beaten by their team mates. What is up with Premat and Rockenfeller when it comes to the DTM?

Well just because someone is excellent in sportscars doesn't mean they'll do great in touring cars.
After all, when Audi had McNish, Pirro and Biela in DTM a few years ago they did nothing, yet they are all time greats when it comes to prototypes.

Of course, but I thought these two had, dare I say it, youth on their side and so might adapt quickly or eventually with time, to my amateur eyes, they don't seem to have either. I'm just puzzled thats all. I wonder how long Audi will keep giving them seats in the DTM.

Premat at least has had lots of breakages and accidents this year. But I don't think it's fair to say he has lacked pace considering he is driving a last year car. He and Jarvis has really shook up the grid from time to time.

The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters is not going to visit France next year despite a three year deal with the track Dijon.
"The investment required to host DTM was a bit too much for Dijon," said an ITR spokesman to Autosport.

The circuit organizers have agreed with the DTM promotor ITR to end the three year deal after just one year.

While the championship is going to continue on ten races next year, the replacement for Dijon is not going to be put in France.

"We want to stay at 10 races, so we are looking for another track so we don't have to visit another of the existing tracks twice.

Oliver Jarvis will step up to the DTM seat vacated by Tom Kristensen in 2010, according to Head of Audi Motorsport Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich. "We are thus giving our youngest ‘factory’ driver the chance to prove his prowess in a current DTM car” said Ullrich. “The performances Oliver has shown in his first DTM years at the wheel of a year-old A4 speak in his favour.”

There's a 9-event calendar in the FIA International Calendar. I assume they are going to put the replacement for Dijon between Brands and Hockenheim.

Last I heard Dijon wasn't being replaced for 2010, but if not then that gap from Brands (5 Sept) to Hockenheim (17 Oct) is ridiculously big.

There are talks about a one-off at Shanghai to fill the gap. The same street race that became cancelled after it was found out during that race that manholes were not welded and the manhole covers flew around leaving the holes open.

Oh, ya think? (I mean, hear hear.) And Gary Paffett, what a year he had; a right crying shame he never got a shot in F1, driving like that.

Both Paffet and Green looked very good at the 3day newbie F1 testing last month, so chances are 1 or both of them might still get the chance.

So just Rockenfeller then. And I can't help but wonder why if you add one pretty lacklustre Red Bull to that list, Wickens gets the boot.

Yes, that one. Cheste is a small town some 20km west of the city of Valencia.

Yeah, I was very disappointed that Motors TV were beaten to it by Setanta for 2009. Hopefully the DTM will be back at it's rightful home for 2010.
