Moto GP - Round 14, Estoril

Back to racing for the Moto GP boys this weekend. Estoril has once again resumed late season position. Surly it will be Rossi vs. Lorenzo with Jorge having good memories from last year. Pedrosa has never won here, but did put up a fight in 2007. And we have Casey Stoner returning (thankfully!), who has shown form here before.

Personally, I'm hoping for an epic fight, as this track has provided some memories. But, I wont hold out too much hope lest I become disappointed. And with two seats left on the grid for next year, there are precious few remaining chances for the also rans to save face.

Game on!

Lorenzo on top with a decent gap over Pedrosa, Rossi and Stoner.

Melandri was last, which seems very odd to me.

Rossi was complaining about the brakes today. Watch for him to get a bunch faster tomorrow. The big thing was Edwards in 5th. If they upgrade his stuff, he could get 3rd. Wonder if they are going to do that, and I wonder what sort of promises they made to Ben about the level of his equipment.

don't think they can expect updates at the same time as Rossi&Lorenzo .. they'd be pretty silly to believe that

LE .. who is commentating for Eurosport ?/ .. haven't seen footage yet and I dont wanna be disappointed

L LE .. it's GOOD

Edwards will only get third if one or two of the big four fall off! Same equipment or not, he's not in the same league as the big four.

Was good to see Stoner out there again, and he looked on it in the fast stuff. More to come from him, I don't doubt. I was worried when he came in after his first few laps, shaking his head. Thought he'd given up and was off home. Turned out he was unhappy with the seat position or something. Went back out there and showed the other Duke riders how to do it.

Stoner on form will be an unknown and will spice up the race - but will he be able to last the whole race?

That's the question no doubt. Not only does have to worry about the fatigue returning, but now he has some arm pump going on. Lack of training will bite him I think. But it's nice to see him out there.

I agree with that - I will be beyond extatic with a podium

I just hope that he hasnt come back too early his heath wont suffer in the long run - and that Suppi will pull him back if Casey needs it. I have to admit Im worried about that.

Screw a podium, I want to see him on top of the box!

I've had enough of the Yamaha dominance.

Casey looks like he is on a mission early on - Lorenzo is on a rocket

Whats with the new Yamaha paint job?

I have to agree, although it was good to see Casey back the whole thing was a bore. I think Toseland is best out of it and I admit to being dug in the ribs a couple of times by the other half as it was such a monumentos race

Aint that the truth!

Pleased for Casey and happy to see the championship close up a bit.

Err, Nick, you were 32 seconds behind your teammate...

Think bar 1 or 2 races early on, the whole season has been boring - 250's have been good all year, cant wait for Moto2 to start...

Thinking about it I wonder if Rossi was sandbagging to "wake" the series up to keep us all a bit more interested .
