F2 Sochi
Schumacher wins race 1, and surely he's odds on for an Alfa seat in 2021? Tsunoda looking good to replace Kvyat too. I fear Lundgaard may be out of the title race, but who knows what race 2 might bring.

Sickening accident between Ghiotto & Aitken in turn 3. Thank god both drivers are ok.
There’s nothing left of Ghiottos car, so lucky he was able to get out considering the fire that followed |

I was just watching that. At the point of impact, Ghiotto's car hit so hard that it moved three of the concrete debris fence base panels back an appreciable distance; they weigh something like 1.5 to 2 tonnes each.
Massive hit; both of them have the layers of Protec to thank for being able to climb out and walk away. |

It seems some teams aren’t happy with Schumi’s win on Saturday

I know that Sky are hit’n’miss about not giving F2 spoilers in the F1 buildup, but really surprised that the crash wasn’t mentioned.

2 (prancing) horse race now it seems?
Schu has gone from bring fairly ordinary early in the season to a serial paceman and points hauler! Ilott can't seem to get it all together like he had been for so long. Shwaartzman is out of it now. A 2nd season beckons for him imho. Lundgaard had another scrappy weekend which must be doubly frustrating after getting into contention at Mugello. Bit annoying there's such a huge break now. Should be having a round at Nurby, Imola or Portimao before the Bahrain season enders. Last edited by chunterer; 5 Oct 2020 at 12:28. |
