PS2 Games
I'm having a buying spree on Amazon at the moment so does anyone want to recomend some good PS2 games?
I've got a fair few but im splashing out on somemore. Are there anymore good strategy games out there as well as some classy racing games? |

I like adventure type games myself, but I'd also like to know what are the best racing games for PS2.

24 hours of LeMans is a goodie-especially on the cheap
Dirt to Daytona-really better than you think sooooo many options and challenges Nascar 2003 Vrally3 Need for speed hot pursuit is good do you have PS1 Final Fantasy tactics? get it if you don't excellent Getaway is good and ofcourse the GTA games if cheap Total Immersion racing isn't bad either-not the best but the challenge mode will keep you fighting awhile |

Whatever you do, don't buy F1 Career Challenge from EA Sports for the PS2!!
I know, cause i had to endure it for half an hour... 30 minutes of absolute terror! Last edited by ASCII Man; 14 Jul 2003 at 21:31. |

RAcing - Toca Race Driver
Rally - WRC 2 and CMR 4 maybe if it lives up to the hype! Shoot em up - Timesplitters 2! Mega fun in 4 player mode with the bunnies unlocked! |

Has anyone tried the new Sony Formula One 2003 game yet? I'm thinking about getting it but won't before I get some recomendations.

Got it today (after getting thoughly wound up with GPL) and I have to say this is by far the best console effort at an F1 game so far. The handling is spot on and the pack racing is great. It's certainly worth a look for anyone with a passing interest in racing games.

Although not too good for strategy, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is perfect for stress relief! As far as racing games go, WRC II Extreme is supposed to be the rally game to have, the new F1 2003 is supposed to be the best single seater game, and as long as you can stomach the wait, GT4 is on its way... I heard a rumour about 700+ cars!!!

Does this new game already contain the changes of the tracks, like last corner of Magny Cours or new shape Hungaroring.

No 700+ cars, i read in an interview with Kazanori Yamauchi that there will be around 500 cars.
Some nice ones too like Corvette Stingray 350, Lotus Europa Special, Nissan 240ZG, Renault Alpine 1600S, Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA, Plymouth Barracuda 440-6, Toyota Supra Twin Turbo (the old one),Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Pontiac GTO, Plymouth Prowler and various others that i can't remember right now. |

I'm disappointed to say that they've got the changes completly wrong, all they've done is get rid of the chicane so now it's a straight run into the final corner. Hungary has also been changed but we won't know how accurate they are until we see the race for real.
