JohnnyFiama should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Bsb 2007

Any news / rumours for the 2007 season? A lot of riders not signed up to anyone yet, Harris, Haslam, Rutter etc. Where are they all going?? Is Shakey staying at Suzuki? Is Johnny Rea off to HM Plant?

A few things are currently clear. Lavilla is probably going to WSBK, although no word on which team. Kiyonari stays at Honda, Rea probably joins him on a factory bike, with Harris looking for a ride. Rutter is gone from Stobart but believes he can still find a ride. Hill stays with Yamaha.

I read on crash that chris walker was in contention for a Rizla seat and both Byrne and Haydon were on their way out. I don't know what this means for Shakey, I reckon he could have done even better with the team in 2007, this year has been quite unlucky for him.

Byrne will be looking for another ride next year as it seems Cal Crutchlow has been signed for the other Suzuki seat.

Also means James Hayden is switching teams once again

Think Haydon really should leave now actually, he has been an also ran for years since 2003 really on teh Virgin Yamaha.
As for Shakey, looke lime he might be on his way from BSB, rumour mill says stuff about Ilmor GP bike. I think more likely though is return to Stobart in a one man team, that seems to be the best way for Birdy to operate.
Laverty is going back to Supersport with TAS Suzuki and yes Crutchlow has signed for Rizla, though Walker is riding the bike this weekend at Mallory so might be a shoe in if he cant get a WSB ride his talent clearly deserves.
Harris on a bike similar to 2005 and Rea and Kiyo on HM Plant bikes.
Not sure about GSE yet, think they have got Dukes again so maybe Shakey there with Hasmal again?

Whatever happened to Renegade? They disappeared after that disappointing WSBK season with Ben Bostrom in 2005, which is a shame cos they really did well with Haga in 2004.

Erm I think Mr Griffiths never really had the best interests of people in mind now did he!
He was a notoriously difficult man to get on with as many of his riders have found out!

He was a very succesful business man and I have no doubt his racing activities were connected to business in some way, he did very well with what he had but to disappear like that is a littel strange isnt it!

Wonder where he is now?

Lavilla does the double. Ducati continues to struggle with their 999 on the world stage...

Looks like they were pretty good races on the surface, but not sure, as we don't get any coverage. Do they stream this on the net anywhere?

Laverty won the super-sport event.

I went yesterday but not today. It was my first ever attendance at a BSB event. Lavilla was looking fast but I thought one of the Hondas would come through for the win. They're certainly popular with the crowd!

I watched them both on ITV4 (who's presentation of the whole thing is awful btw), Lavilla had the measure of everyone, aided by Chris Walker in 2nd who was defending like I never seen before, which no doubt allowed Lavilla off into the sunset. He was rather miffed about the Safety Car in the 2nd race and I could see his point, the rider that fell was safely out of the way.

Anybody know why ITV1's coverage has been pulled at the last minute? I hope 'It Shouldn't Happen on a Hidden Camera Show' gives them the ratings they desire....

Meh, Sky SPorts coverage is far better anyways. Not live, but settling down of an evening to watch a cracking lineup of races is nice.

Did anyone see which way Lavilla went?

He wants his title back...

There is no coverage of BSB here, so when I saw the results I immediatly was impressed with Camier. Together with Jonathan Rea you have 2 good talents if you ask me.

I really enjoyed the races yesterday, its the first time I have sat down to watch the BSB's properly and I think I may be hooked. I counted 6 bikes going for second at one point in race 2! Camier was excellent, as was Rea, it looks like he is proving why he deserves a factory ride. He just needs to get off the line better!

I think I am going to have to make a trip out to a meeting now, Cadwell looks like a good bet.

Rea had a factory ride last year, the Red Bull bike was an HRC machine but just with Dunlop tyres.
As for Camier, his rides are all the more impressive considering he hasnt had much testing and that bike aint a factory machine at all.
Remember Leon was in 125 with the likes of Casey and Chaz Davies and beat them all a few years back, then went to GP and typically got the rubbish bike with all the uesless bits on it while his Spanish team mate got the good stuff, think he lasted half a season before re inventing himself as Chaz is doing.

He is a huge talent, as for Rea he has to stop falling off! Mind you Camier did that a bit last year too, with the Sykes,Laverty,Hutchinson,Haslam etc the future looks positive.

Just seen the highlights of round 1 today - great stuff from Lavilla, and some great action behind him. Camier's this year's equivalent of Rea - getting among the full factory Hondas on a similar-spec bike. Fabulous showing from him, even if there were a few mistakes included. A few guys need to step up the pace, especially Haydon - how many chances does this guy deserve?

Lol at Boots

he hasnt deserved a chance for a long time, especially when you look at Thruxton. Tommy is on pole and Haydon is 16th or summat, the bloke is past it and onyl ahs two speeds, crash or slow.

Much like PLater, Emmett, Harris. Also Scotty Smart is looking very average!

Great though for Camier,Byrne,Sykes etc. And Simon Andrews, working wonders on the Jentin bike. Supersport is the breeding ground for these lads, lest hope the SS teams continue to bring on the young talent.

BTW, what happened to the lad who won the private cup last year in SS, he utterly dominated on a blue Yamaha I think. cant rememebr his name!

As mentioned before BSB is not broadcasted here, so I dont know whats going on. Has Yamaha the same problem as what they had in wsbk? Are their tyres giving up midway? I saw Tommy Hill had pole, but finished quit dissapointingly in both races.

Second race result gives the impression the race was a cracker.

God Lavilla is bombing it this year....his championship lead is astronomical already!

But remember 2006?

Still, I don't see Lavilla collapsing again.
