Boycott these Newpapers and Stations also
In addition to the Herald and
Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and WFLA-Channel 8, a Tampa NBC affiliate, joined the Sentinel's lawsuit to obtain access. The Sentinel, Times and Chicago Tribune are all owned by Tribune Co. of Chicago. This info from http://espn.go.com/rpm/2001/0306/1134487.html |

Sounds pretty bad over there - I take it the press are harassing Teresa Earnheart.
What do they want? Could you give us a little more information? |

What they are doing
The Press has desided that they want access to Dale Earnhardt's autopsy pictures so they can determan
what killed him. They are sueing Fla and the county to get access to them. We feel that those pictures should be treated like any other medical records and kept private. Here is a copy of the letter (Email) I sent to the above email address ------------------------------------------------------------ Hi , Releasing the autopsy pictures of Dale Earnhardts will not server anyone but the media. So they can try to sell more papers. Most probably don't care about NASCAR or the Earnhardts. All they care about is what they think might sell more papers. If one paper gets to see them then others will want to see them as well. If they want to save more lives then let them spend their time and money to help cure cancer, or AIDS, or anything else that might save hundreds or even thousands of lives. If you or I had a wreck and our seat belt broke they wouldn't be after our autopsy pictures, well maybe yours, but who cares about the little guy. People die in accidents all the time. They didn't go after Adam Petty's autopsy pictures, they didn't go after Kenny Irwin's autopsy pictures or they didn't ask for Tony Roper's autopsy pictures? Why, because they were not as famous. It wouldn't help sell newspapers. Would you want your family to see pictures of your autopsy in the papers, would you want to see a member of your family's autopsy pictures in the paper. They say they won't publish them, but you and I both know if they get the chance they will. So please put a stop this, as it will not server the general public, orthe public's right to know. Know what? He died in a racing accident. He knew that could happen when he got behind the wheel, every time he got behind the wheel. He was our hero let him die a hero's death, with Honor by not having his autopsy pictures splattered all over the news or by 1000 newspapers and/or news shows, second guessing and claming he could be alive if. Signed A NASCAR Fan and Dale Earnhardt Fan ------------------------------------------------------------ Well I was right now more want access and someone would get them out and print them!! |
