Vettel. I think he just had the pace for this race. He just looked comfortable in his car. Was like seeing the old Red Bull days.
Honourable mentions to Verstappen for keeping Hamilton behind for so long and a good result, as well as Bottas' good first outing with Mercedes. |

For the drive, it would have to go to a couple of young guys, just starting out,
the usual suspects where up front, Lance stoll, not a bad effort , he will learn Estaban Ocon , stayed out trouble points finish Max Vestappen , stayed cool, couldn't match others but hung in and the old fellow, Filipe Massa, retired and came home , hope his guidance will help young Lance |

Where's Ricciardo's name? The 15 or so laps he did after the late start, he was brilliant! Driver of the day for me.

For the first time ever, I'd probably give it to old aussie Mark Webber. He was good on the podium, they should try and get him on the sky team. F1 can pay for him.
The new addition of Pat Symonds... he sure is knowledgeable but boy does he look sad/lack any sort of energy. Seriously though, has to be Vettel. 33s clear of Kimi, and it seems he was taking it easy for most of the race. Not sure what Kimi was doing in this one. Bottas did decent to finish right behind Hamilton in his first race, but it does seem a poorer race for Hamilton. Plus DOTR shouldn't really go to the guy that finishes behind his teammate and never really got close. Ocon did nice to get his first points, but also it looks like a long way behind his teammate and that pass on an ailing Alonso was a right mess. So to V'tel it goes. |

Well, my vote is also for someone that it is not on this list.
Me. True, I did not drive in the Australian GP. Indeed, I'm not even in Australia. But I am a driver of a regular conveyance and - if I do say so myself - I was quite the little trooper in getting up to watch this live at such an ungodly hour of the morning. So I vote for myself. -- OK, as for someone that drove in the GP itself. I will also vote for Giovinazzi. He had a fine turn of speed and was unperturbed in rising to the challenge after baby Wehrlein flaked out. |

I'll go with Vettel, for getting on the front row, then making his strategy work to beat the Mercs

I'd have gone for Vettel, but Giovanazzi gets my vote for being bundled into a relatively unfamiliar car in completely unfamiliar circumstances and managing not to totally embarrass himself.

Ocon for scoring his first point. Hopefully for him, more will follow. Class drive from Vettel, but I suspect I can vote for him a few times more this year.
