Been watching a few videos from Test Day and one thing which stood out is how much speed the Ferraris were giving away. GTEs, LMP2s and even a few Hypercars (not least the 311 - no surprise it was pinged) were really on the edge with track limits, but the 499Ps were comfortably within the boundaries of the track.

On a more positive note. I'm so happy to see so many cars and manufacturers in the top class again. In motorsports I'm a very much believe it when I see it sort of fan and would like to applaud the aco/IMSA/the manufactures and all involved for making this happen. ACO get a lot of stick and sometimes rightly so but they have delivered on this one. If you told me a couple of years ago we would have 16 prototypes and 7 different manufacturers in the top class at le mans I would have asked for some of what you were taking. Finally a special mention to Toyota for sticking around when everyone else f***ed off and keeping the wec going. Looking forward to fp1. Bring it on.

Cars seem to not have trouble getting under the 3:30 mark right away.


Also, RLM mentioned that the G56 car will be starting at the rear of the grid. That will be fun for whoever starts that car and will carve up the GTE field.

I love RLM (been listening to them since ALMS, LM24 around 2000, etc), but the tv commentary keeps getting better.

Graham Goodwin, Anthony Davidson, Jim Roeller, and others! If they could just get rid of Martin Haven...lol
