So we are off to Donington instead of Silverstone, great stuff should make for a great race. I have few observations August 26th is a Saturday does this mean it is going to be afternoon/evening race and what is the maximum number of cars that can run on the Donington Park GP track?

At least Spa seems to be in which is good. Istanbul seems to have suffered from low crowds and poor attendance from the teams. I'm curious about the Italian track...Mugello?

I assume your talking about the F1 and FIA GT figures. But then, I've never thought Turkey was a hardcore motorsporting country personally, so i never really understood why they spent that amount of money on building a circuit in the first place. |

Im happy that Silverstone didnt get a round ..... sometimes i get the impression that they think they should be first pick for big events . Donington is cool , but i really would have liked to see Brands Hatch get that round .
But im happy . Is there no 5th round this year , or is that undecided yet ? Enna Pergusa would be nice but i seem to remember the Fia GT series saying that the track was too tight for them , so it would certainly be too tight for LMP ? |

They should add another event in early August. As for the Italy round, it's the weekend before Petit Le Mans. Bummer.
We'll just have to see if this is the real schedule or not. |

I hope a few floodlights are included in this £5 million Pit & paddock complex Donington is building!

I don't understand why they keep that NĂ¼rburgring. I'd much rather prefer to see two GB races, one in Donington, other in Silverstone.

Great news if it's official about Donington getting the round - I hope they'll be causing less complaints than was managed at Silverstone! Plus it's only an hour away from me so I'm naturally not complaining! wonder why there's only 4 races tho...?

I have spoken to someone who tells me the maximum number of runners on Donington Park GP track is 32, now I am sure if this number can raised for special events such as the LMES.

erm... panoz.lmp1 - for those of us who are mathematically challenged, what would that mean for starting numbers at Donington?
One thing I did like about Silverstone was having 47 cars taking the start... |

IMHO, this isn't really good news atall. No Monza or Silverstone ( whatever happened to "reviving the old classics" concept ). I know Silverstone has its problems / faults, but if you watched the FIASCC rounds or the ELMS round at Donnington, then like me you will know that the track just isn't wide or long enough to make a good race. Don't expect any overtaking, its more a track for a "driver" than a "racer". At least Silverstone allows overtaking. All in my opinion of course.

If this is correct, on the weekend 12th-14th May all 3 LM series are racing, also Salt lake ALMS clashes with the LMES 'ring race (and Lakeville ALMS is on the same weekend as Motegi).
Why can't they avoid this happening?? |

But why you'd be disappointed if it wasn't included considering your comments about the track at Donington, because Monza doesn't allow much overtaking either! |
