Boy was it nice seeing Champ Cars on a permanent road course again!
In the first session, Kurosawa had two spins in the keyhole...and Kanaan was smoking his tires badly coming in there. He went off into the grass once, but was lucky enough not to hit the tire barrier. During qualifying, Tracy spun out twice in the keyhole as well, one resulted in a black flag...Andretti looked surprisingly smooth through there, but I guess it was due to his lack of speed (provisionally 9th) Montoya was his usual self, pitching the car around...as well as Brack, neither one of them were very smooth. But alas the Penske cars.....good lord did they look awesome coming onto the backstretch. Watching a perfect 4-wheel drift while applying power is very awesome! And Gil as well as Helio were both doing it very successfully!! Truly amazing stuff, look for an amazing time from one of them tomorrow! Any questions anyone? I'll try to answer them as soon as I can, but I'll be leaving in about 4-5 hrs. to spend the entire weekend there. AR |

You answered my questions with the description of the awesome Penske Boys! I guess Gil's hand is all well now!
Was Christian driving? Did Memo do anything, er, Memorable? What about the Players' Cars? |
