DO you think he got the drive because of coca cola...as im sure he had coca cola sponsor his car when he raced in the Formula Palmer Audi winter series last year !....have to give him credit though , that was quite impressive qualifing today.

Janis
I was seriously impressed by the guy. Before qualifying he had never driven the car in the dry, nor driven at Monza, yet he immediately outqualifies people like Lancieri (the most experienced driver in F3000 history) and F1-reject-turned-CART-reject-turned-F3000-paydriver Norberto Fontana. An amazing feat for such a young driver, and I am in little doubt that we will be hearing his naem for a long while to come.

of course, he only got the drive because of coca cola, but he showed he was definitely worth the gamble. if he's not in international f3000 next year, he should be in european f3000. now let's hope he can get sponsorship together.

'kiddo'...
you know you're getting old when drivers in major series are younger than you.... |

well, for a kid he did have his brain in the right place... he'll just have to have it disconnected if he decides to race f3000 full time

Jaroslav Janis is the other Czech driver sponsorized by Coca-Cola. He raced in the F.Palmer Audi and in the F.Renault. One time he raced with Tomas Enge in sportscars.

Just thought I'd dig this one up, my first ever post. And perhaps not my best ever prediction.
