Nextel Cup LifeLock 400 Kansas Speedway
Well right now the race is in its second red flag due to rain at lap 148. Because they are more than halfway through the race, it can end now and Tony Stewart would be the race winner because of his fuel strategy. I am hoping that they will go green again, but it looks doubtful.

The other Chase guys are in trouble generally too so this will be a big hitter for Tony. Many are outside the top 20.
In the top eleven, there is Carl Edwards, Harvick and Clint Bowyer. And the rookie of the year standings are going to get a bit too close for my liking too. |

NASCAR is now saying that they are going to try to restart the race at about 7:00 et, this is great news for most of the chase drivers except Tony Stewart.

Caution: Stewart punted by Kurt Busch, wrecks and takes Carl Edwards with him. Kenseth and Truex wrecked on the previous caution. Kyle Busch wrecked early in the race and Jeff Burton had early problems. This has been a tough race for many of the chasers. Right now the big winners seem to be Harvick, Bowyer, and Jimmie Johnson (10th and moving up).
JPM was 38th, 2 laps down when there was that long rain delay. He has now made both laps up. Let's hope JPM salvages a decent finish. |

well guess tony stewart may be heading back to another series after todays fun. If I was him I would be filing anything I could in protest against any points being allowed for whichever Bush it was that drove through him in the middle of the track.

Right now it looks like Greg Biffle will get his first win of the season. But for the Roush Fenway drivers in the chase it doesn't look so good.

Greg Biffle finally got his first win of the season, a little late though seeing that he missed the chase. Here is the link to the complete results.

Pretty bad officiating IMO. No GWC and Biffle could not maintain pace car speed. I hear that Johnson may file a protest. Johnson once lost 2 positions for the same thing in 2004 at Pocono I believe.

Yea, Johnson will probably file a protest, though I don't think that he will be able to reverse the call by NASCAR.

ok it appears the points chase does stir up some upfront action in the points
but J gordon's season has been so good this is really making a mockery of the first 26 points races... this weekend's rainy races has been all crazy on 2 sides of the pacific. |

Kurt Busch had no place to go when Tony's tire went down. What was Kurt supposed to do? Grow wings and fly away? |

Yeah, Tony had problems mid corner it seemed and Kurt had far more momentum.
I think the problem was Tony staying out on a tyre that was going to die, although I guess he had to try and hold out for a yellow period. Shame he took Carl Edwards with him. Amazing how the chase runners seem to magnetise towards each other in these situations! |

Is Tony going to be repree...reprim... Is Tony going to get told off by NASCAR for what he did? I think he should get a damn good thrashing for endagering the other drivers.
