Horace International Raceway
The Roman poet Horace was great at creating mental images in the listeners' head about the landscape that he was describing. Therefore I name my newest circuit after him!
The circuit starts with the stadium section. Then after a fast chican the circuit heads out into the rolling wooded hills! A slight left leads into a very fasy & cambered uphill right. Along a straight the circuit continues to climb through a series of fast esses, reaching the highest point of the circuit at the exit of the 2nd esse. Another short straight & a very steep downhill right that opens out on the exit after dropping away suddenly on the apex. Another fast left leads into a slightly banked but slightly tighter, slower downhill right. Next comes the most testing part of the circuit. A left, very steeply downhill kink through which the driver brake leads into an equally steep right hairpin. The track then climbs as steeply as it has fallen to a tight 90 degree lefthander. A longer straight follows with a downhill kink to the right before a good overtaking spot at a tight downhill 90 degree left. Anothr short straight & a downhill right-left esse follows back into the stadium section. A very steep uphill chicane follows before the banked slightly uphill final corner leads back onto the start/finish straight. Track length is about 6km. Hope you like it! |

Nice one, AF. I like the fast foresty section, reminicent of the old Hockenheim, perhaps witha bit of brannds gp loop thrown in too. Favourite corners include turn 1 chicane, could be very fast indeed, plus the fast esses of 3&4 and the final more technical section before the last corner.
High five! |

Totally unique, fast, exciting - all whilst being quite modern at the same time. Very good AF, I love it. A poser for you though, if I may?
If a series wasn't happy with the speeds generated by the whole outside section, as I imagine some would - what previsions would you make to slow cars/bikes/lawnmowers down? |

It just seems very flowing and fast. It would be a great track to drive on.

Thank you everybody! Martin, I will see what changes I would include to slow a couple of sections down without including many chicanes-a novelty! However, the main track won't be changed!

I like the track. The fast corners at the top look challenging.
The last bit, at the bottom of the track just before the pit straight, looks a bit like the corresponding section of the new Nurburgring. Did you intend this? The last corner looks like a tricky one to get right, especially with the long straight after it. |

I didn't really intend it & I think that with the planned elevation changes it would be very different from that part of the Nurburgring to race on.
The version with the slower corners is on the way! |

Looks like a mini-Nordschleife. Very nice, indeed.
