Looking forward to Quali tomorrow.

As a local Perth Aussie, Im interested to see if Danny Ric can out quali his team mate. Im sure its nervous times so early for him this year.

Verstappen Senior isn’t due to attend another GP until Monaco, according to the telecast today.

I'm looking forward to the Australian GP, one of my favourite races on the calendar but not the start times for qualifying, or for the actual race, though I will try to watch both.

Bad luck for Logan. No doubt he is not happy, but I think it was the right decision for the team IF they think points are really on the table. They do need a spare tub ASAP so they are not in this same situation again.

Albon will drive Logan Sargeant's car for the rest of the Australian Grand Prix weekend. Logan must be gutted.

Yes - not unexpected (as Martin Brundle said during the telecast, putting Albon in Sargeant's car was a "no brainer").

No doubt Logan isn't enjoying the situation but it appears that he's taking a team-first approach and as Albon has been demonstrably faster over an extended period of time, the move makes sense.

Might not pay off as we all know - Albon crashed heavily at the same corner last year (maybe he needs to assess how he approaches that section of track?) and it would be a great shame for the team and Sargeant if he ended up in the wall again.

Super Max on pole but that was a great performance from Sainz, especially after his op.

I thoroughly enjoyed that, well worth staying up for and just hope the actual race is as good.

Despite Ferrari's pace in practice, Max still gets on top. Still, good to see Sainz 2nd on his return. He's determined to show everyone he's still worthy of a top team in F1.

Albon qualified 12th.


Sergio Perez got a three place grid penalty for impeding Nico Hulkenberg in Q1 and will now start sixth. Lando Norris is moved up to third on the grid, with Charles Leclerc starting fourth and Oscar Piastri fifth.
