LMS Round 1 - Barcelona 4/5/6 April 2008

Well with just under 2 weeks to the opening round of the LMS is about time we got a thread going.

The entry list can be at http://www.lemans-series.com/en/s51_...rticipants.php

I would like to point out that I am very lucky boy as I will be attending the race in person !!!

- Jeroen Bleekemolen is listed as driver on the LMS website, he will not race at Barcelona.

- Peter Dumbreck and Tom Coronel are shown in the Spyker, the #85 car will however have Peter Dumbreck, Ralf Kelleners and Alexei Vasiliev.

- Hope to see two Epsilon-Euskadi cars at Barcelona, as the entrylist shows, but I am not 100% sure they will both be there.

See you there though

will the cytosport/charouz car be there? Mariantic had reported it off the entry list and all mentions of the car have disappeared from the LMS website. Anyone have any info from Jota or Cytosport about the prospects of the car being at barcelona?

I believe the LMS website entry list is "full season" entrants only. Cytosport do not intend to stay in Europe after Le Mans so are off the list now.

I believe they will be at Barcelona though as the grid will be short of one Euskadi.

Quick question - info shows about a 30 minute walk from train station to circuit - has anyone done that and if so, is that an accurate walk time?

thanks very much

Last I recall the team only planned on 1 or 2 races, with Monza and Spa being the rounds mentioned.

As I said above I am attending as well, that ties up with what I have read too. Are any other Ten-Tenths members attending?

I've been there only once, but I went by train from Barcelona, and then by walk to the circuit (yes, about 25-30 min) but this was more than 10 years ago, maybe now we could find a bus service to the circuit (or near)

Looks like no Simon Pagenaud at Barcelona.

Who will replace him? Thomas Serwin? A Japanese driver on behalf of AIM?

haruki kurosawa?, he raced for creation at silverstone last year and did a pretty decent job for them, and hes rather fast as well, the courage 2006 campaign springs to mind.

I heard that Creation was not overly impressed with their last chosen Jap drivers ..... Also that Serwin is their new man , who will partner Ortiz . I gotta admit , that if this is true , im glad to see JCW-Hall in the same tub .

Kai has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Waiting for some liveries... hopefully Charouz won't run a bland stickered up bare cf body. Oreca... looks nice and all but solid colors are boring! Less than a week...
