6. Two of those points though are just because it was Spa. Other than that and Force India's attempts at self-destruction, not the best Belgian GP we've ever seen....

6. A bit dull, I admit. But, it's Spa. It was good that the latter part of the race was quite tense as the two leading cars were close. The Ocon versus Perez fight turned into carnage. At least, it livened it up.

That was a dull affair. The restart after the FCY was quite thrilling but with the better straight line speed of the Mercedes, Lewis had the advantage. It's a shame F1 can't make more out of such a great circuit and as it was Spa, a 4.

7 for me. A little rain would have made it a 10.

4, despite Lewis vs Seb and the two Force Indias coming together, wasn't enough going on

Gave it an 8.
Really think some people should stick to watching NASCAR or some other wheel bashing series. |

Oldtony, just as a matter of interest, the fact that it was Spa aside, what was it in the race that made it just two off of perfect for you? (I'm not criticising, just interested in what makes people give the scores they do....).

Close to the end up front, exciting restart, with some half decent overtaking, "Force India-ing" and just always a joy to watch cars circulate at such a wonderful track. Perfect place to get back at it.
7 And I'll be watching NASCAR's Southern 500 at Darlington this weekend, so some theoretical, conceited jabs just don't work or belong in some threads. |

7 for me. it was entertaining more so due to the Force India drivers. SC added a bit of spice which kept me watching til the end.
fair amount of post race talking points as well so that should keep us busy until the next race. |

Kimi's pass on Bottas pretty much made the race. It reminded of when Hakkinen disposed of Zonta and M Shumacher. Otherwise, it was hard to stay awake. 4.

Out front two drivers absolutely on the limit at speeds that were a revelation even for Spa, closely matched on both talent and equipment. The safety car was legit but probably stayed out on lap too many. Neither made an error but the pressure was there all the time. Further back in the field you had Riciardo"s brilliant restart, Kimi's fight back from his marginally deserved penalty, some midfield passing and jostling and even an appearance by the clowns in pink. Tense, built to a climax and a demonstration of skill and a good mix of technical approaches gining advantages in different parts of the wonderful Spa challenge. Yes it's a matter of 'druthers". |
