Historic circuit pics needed

Hello chaps (and chapettes)

I'm working on a project and need some unpublished / amatuer photo's of a number of historic race circuits from when they were in use, any one got any hidden away? the circuits I'm after are

Keimola
Crystal Palace
Brooklands
Sitges
Brno (all variants)
Nuburgring Sudschleife
Rouen Les Essarts
Spa - Franchorchamps (old circuit)
Solitude
Chimay
Montijuch Park
Nivelles
Mettet

Can anyone help me out as I'm trying to avoid using too many LAT shots

I know I use the RSC forums mainly for GPL-related things, but there are very often photographs of old circuits (from around GPL-time, i.e. 1967) posted. There is in fact a feature right now on what is left of the old Keimola circuit. May not help you directly, but there may be links which you could use?

I'll post a link here later.

still in real need of more pics...

add Riems to the list - I forgot to mention it - especially period pics around the pit buildings.

I'm not really after recent pics as I'm visiting all the tracks anyway once the snow cleared.

Old Circuit Pics

Can I just intrude for a moment to mention this thread in "AE"?

http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...threadid=48832

Perhaps its my age (and certainly my love of GPL) but I just love looking back at old pics of circuits, particularly like those at Rouen and Reims which are no longer used but where at least some of the track (and even track buildings) still remain.

I'd love to find more and I know I saw some great old pics from Monza a while ago, but I've forgotten where. Has anyone else got pics they've taken they'd like to share, or links to other good sites?

(Sorry if you've done this to death before).

ive got a rather sketchy line drawing of the sudshleife in a book somewhere, its a map of the nordshchleife and the start and finish bit (cant rememver the german for that tho!) and then shows the route of the sudshleife situated where the modern day circuit is, sadly the books at home and im not

Yes I have the video too - great innit?

I'd be interested to see the ring pic. _ The Sudschleife was not destroyed by the new circuit and a fair chunk of it remains

Mentioning picturs of old circuits reminds me of a holiday I had in Northern Portugal a few years back. I remembered that there was a circuit at Vila Real and tried hard to find it. We found part of it thanks to obvious clues such as painted kerbs and one faded street sign but sadly we had no other details so it was not possible to follow it properly. Anyone got any info on that one at all?

not much more to tell really...the circuit was a road circuit used until the mid 70's I believe, and hosted some pretty wild sports car races. It is most well known for passing the quinta (thats a winery to you and me) that can be found on the label of a bottle of Mateus Rose wine. I knew of its existence when I went on holiday (funnily enough nearly every continental holiday includes a visit to a current or disused race circuit, much to the other half's amusement!) and we spent hours trying to locate it. Someone must know a little bit more surely!
