Hi Willie,
Good question, it was submitted to MI however was rejected on the basis that mondello would not have capacity for additional rallycross rounds. As we all know between Carlow Car club and County kildare motorclub apply for much more dates each year than what is acctually allocated to them. Unless someone builds a rallycross circuit we are snookered  .

With all the money made by property developers and builders in the celtic tiger , maybe a few of them who have an interest in motorsport could develop a track to revival mondello , and then there would be a new and perment home in ireland for rallycross and maybe winter and summer dates A track wide enough for europeen rallycross ,it would be great to see a couple of rounds held here in ireland..
Anyway time to wake up from this dream |

I think it would take a few more generous souls , according to mondello park there is no money to be made out of motorsport , so it would have to be for the love of rallycross and not the profit to be made...
