I've just been reading through all of the stuff that Pembrey have sent me for the circuit guide and a lot of it is about something called "AutoTechnium" which will be a centre of excellence in performance engineering.
On the same page, one sentence says that Autotechnium is located at Pembrey, indicating that it's already built, further down, it says it will develop a 32 hectare site, indicating it's still to be built. Does anyone know anything about this? There's also a map showing proposed alterations to the circuit which include an extension, new proposed pitlane complex and new spectator bridge - to create an international standard circuit, but nowhere in all of this have they told me when these changes are likely to take place. If anyone wants me to find where I've buried my scanner I can do and scan in the circuit plan and other bits and pieces. Maybe some people here can make more sense of these changes than I can because it's difficult to judge when you've never visited a place. Pembrey is also the only guide which includes no history of the circuit, so if you know anything about the history of Pembrey, please shout. |

Yeah, i'd heard of their plans a while ago - seems ages ago, but was probably only in the past couple of years - but don't know whether anything will come of them. I mean Wales is hardly the centre of the motorsport scene is it, why would they go there when they could be based at Silverstone or Rockingham ?

I have heard that they are building an airport next to the circuit and I think a few years back they were applying to the Carmarthenshire County Council for a grant to redevolp the circuit, but don't know what can of that.
We have only just had mains electric installed down here, its all very new to us |

There's an airport shown on the plan, but I wasn't sure whether that was there already or if it would be new.
What was the comment from Schoey last week: "Pembrey - it doesn't have chicanes, it has sheep" |
