LM24 Race GTE Le Mans 2023

I've changed to Top 20,40 and 60 for the average comparison. I've used Top 40 for the order in the table.

Some of the cars lower down will have struggled to get 40 representative laps, but for the top ones I think it is a fair comparison (as much as it can be).

Interesting. The Ferraris have the pace. Other than when you make it a bronze competition and Ben comes to the fore!

The lone Corvette looks good, of course.

Porsche show they have some pace, despite the disappointing qualifying.

And the Astons look the weakest, following the form of the year.

Attached are the laps in order of faster to slowest for each car. I have chose the fastest in the table from each manufacturer. The Ferrari and the Porsche are pretty consistent until about the 30th lap. The Corvette slowly falls off. The Aston is consistently slower.

It's all complicated by the driver that did the laps, but I think it'll be a battle between 3 manufacturers. Corvette only has one bullet though.

So who is going to be, which manufacturer will do it.

My heart says Corvette, of course. Would love to say Porsche, buuuut if the clients are experiencing severe technical issues this wont be easily cured on the field and it is to fear that all engines are built the same way (if engine is the issue). Unless a client says dont give a dam to the seals I'll fix it myself. So, has to be Ferrari.

Really hoping for a Corvette victory hear. Ben is such a true driver and lover of racing. Still feel for him for losing out in the Ford a few years ago due to a technical error by the team.

I am torn with this one I would love too see one of the Aston's win I think it will be the Corvette.

But as I said in the LMP2 thread this one could go anywhere and I guess it will come down to who has the cleanest run.

Are you able to do the charts but for only the AM driver? thats normally where the most time is lost/gained

Note: The Top 30 isn't really working as most didn't do enough laps. Including

Ben Keating: Legend.

The chart is the same four cars as above, but the Bronze drivers only. I was going to match the scale, but had to increase the y axis for Iron Lynx.

Putting in the hard yards and Ben will get you to the front when up against other Bronze. And probably a fair chunk of the Silver and Golds too!

At the end of the race I expect we are just Gold and Platinums...

JMW Motorsport Ferrari leading at the 6hour mark, but messed up and Now Project 1 Rexy Porsche leads from Iron Dames.

They are all on similar strategy as they all came in when it started raining recently.

I turned the coverage off pretty much as Ferrari crossed the line as I had to get to a family BBQ.

I am just watching the Radio Le Mans post race show and I didn't know that the GR Racing car finished 3rd I was watching the battle in GTE on the timing screen and they where not even on my radar for a podium finish.

Yes that final spot was up for grabs in the last couple of hours.

Really surprised by the race attrition here for a class that has been around for so long and been reliable.

I found it interesting to note the Iron Dames had the individual 3rd slowest fast lap, yet they figure in the top half dozen in the longer stint figures. I guess it shows them to have been consistent and very respectable when you take out the quick Ferraris and the Corvette.

Thanks for this Adam. The battle. I've just chosen the podium. Remember it is the race amongst only these three. So if you are leading on this chart that doesn't always mean you are leading overall. Apart from the last lap.

Also done an alternative with the three cars that lead the most.
Corvette #33: 66 laps
Project 1 Porsche #56: 78laps
Iron Dames Porsche #85: 54 laps
(Kessel Ferrari #57: 53laps, just missed out here)

The Corvette is coming to get you...

I don’t think the car is really that much quicker than the rest. It might not be the quickest. If I was to guess I would say Ferrari, Corvette, Porsche and tiny gaps between them. Aston further behind.

What really separates them from the others is that the team is class and the drivers are superb.
