Syracuse, NY GP

After last year'sebacle at the USGP, I felt F1 could use a new home, so I chose my hometown of Syracuse, NY. At the moment, there is nothing of interest for the fans to draw F1 here, but hopefully within the next five years, DestiNY USA will be built. You can get more information on DestiNY USA by going here...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DestiNY_USA.

The track itself is 2.37 miles long and runs in a clockwise direction. It has about 13 corners. The pits would be located along Erie Boulevard, starting at the final S-bend and rejoins the track about where the track leaves Erie Boulevard. If you zoom in close enough, you can see where the exit will go. Most of the run not on Erie Boulevard is probably a bit narrow, but I guess the roads could be widened. Comments would be appreciated.

Oh, that's pretty cool. I've made some minor changes. I thought the pits could be on the southern half of Erie Blvd, rejoining the main straight about half-way. That main straight, however, is somewhere between 1,000 and 1,300 metres long.

I love all of them.

mandretti, your proposal is awesome. Other then I'd shorten the length to reach the hairpin a bit more.

Here ya go...

I have also extended the run along East Fayette Street to Beach Street due to the shortening of the run to the hairpin. The track would have been less than two miles in length, which would probably make it too short for F1 or Champ Cars. Therefore, the xtension makes the track longer than two miles now.

I moved the track further to the east. Similar shape, but a bit shorter. 2.23 miles

The longest straight is a tad over 900 metres too, which is a good length IMO, especially for a street track

Here is a new one. Basically, it's my previous track with an extension on the western edge. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=279219 Thoughts?
