AUSTRALIAN GP AM OR PM? (live or repeat)
This will be mainly for those who are going to be watching the Austrailian gp from the side of the world. do you think you will be up at 02.30gmt to watch the aussie gp or do you think it's worth waiting till the afternoon to watch the full re-run? personally i will be up early and have to suffer the concequences when the kids come through just as the race finnishes.

gotta get up! It's the first race of the year for gods sake! I've always got to see them live, it's just not the same 'as live'.

I remember a few years back we had missed the live race (on of the european ones) so we sat if front of the telly a bit before the highlights when the news headlines come on. at the end they gave brief news of sport including race results. that was the worst race/highlights i've ever watched as well all of 2002. there's no fun when you know who's going to win.

I've been waiting for the season to start for nearly 5 months, i'll be damned if i'm waiting an extra 11 hours
However, i might just watch the repeat aswell, providing i'm not sleeping my hangover off |

For people in the UK/Ireland: what are ITV showing this year? Are they show qualifying live on Saturdays? Both sessions? Or tape-delayed 'til the middle of the night?

Jim Rosenthal and the ITV team present live coverage of the first of the new style qualifying sessions from Melbourne. Going to work on Moday going to be interesting |

You kiddin' hamsmith?! Should you be even asking that question? We've ALL gotta be up to see that! Strap the kids down if they're a problem. LOL! (only joking). Anyone disagree?

Well now, if you lived in California you could stay up an hour or so and watch it. But, you might not like getting up at 4am for the others.

I'll be up through the night, as ever during Oz GP!
And I'll watch the re-run and highlights. And tape the race and highlights. |

In Oz we only get 2 live GP's a year (thanks TEN) and it probably wont be repeated in full so...
Dont suppose that fox sports deal went through this year did it, so no live practice or anything its a pretty **** poor F1 service down here. [EDIT: Weak autocensor dodge /EDIT] Last edited by Adam43; 2 Sep 2004 at 19:52. |

I won't bother going to bed because I'm usually that excited about it. It'll be heavy going though....up all night Friday, up all night Saturday and a half five morning start on Monday.
The things I do for the sport I love! |

i will have two early nights have a couple hours sleep wake up have a few very strong cup's of tea to keep me going for a while and i will watch from the comfort of my bed which should be nice. after the race has finished back to sleep for a while.
lucky for me i have mon, tue and wed off which strangely Coincides with the first race spooky or what as i had a couple of spare days and told my employer im not fussed when they are and that's the date's they gave me. |

Not just that I'm goona get up early, I'm gonna get up even earlier so that I can drive 26km from my house to a cafe down-town that has all that digital/sattelite equipment and has app 40 big TVs, and they show main feed on 20 of them, and all the side stuff on the rest.
I do that every year for the first race of the season since that place has been opened (1997) and there is no way I'll miss it this year. That is something my wife never even tried to stop me from. And you question was? Last edited by ljakse; 22 Feb 2004 at 06:28. |

Nothing like a live race, especially the start. My heart beats very fast at the start of a GP, not sure around 2:30am though.
