Yes I do, including yesterday when I was at Pembrey rather than in front of my PC!

I currently use Astratech which was a great system, about 6 years ago, but has seriously fallen behind the times. You can probably only buy them second hand now but you can still get parts.

I have a Stack dash and separate data logger installed in my kit car but as I am still waiting for my engine (3 years and counting) I haven't had a chance to use it in anger yet.

I am seriously considering a PI system 2 for the race car at the moment. The dash display is limited but the usability and software is fantastic and you don't need to lug a beacon round as most circuits have a permanently installed one (not Anglesey).

A cheaper option would be the AIM MXL system which a lot of people I know are using and very happy with.

Hope that helps.

What's up with that? Is it made from pure unobtanium?

No, the engine builder suffers from toobusydoingotherstuffitis!

It was his bl**dy fault I chose the engine as well!

I am now wound up and am going to phone him.

Then I'll just be depressed!

Well, to answer the original question: I use the ETB Instruments Digidash 2 dash and data logger. Comes with free analysis software, and AFAICS is unrivalled for features at less than £1k.

If you don't need the dash, get a Race Technology DL1. Simple to set up and use and being GPS based makes it a lot easier to fit IMHO.

Suggest you look at Farringdon Instruments as well, www.laptimer.com

Includes dynamic perfomance monitor for a fraction of the cost of the competition.

The DD2 has a similar feature though it's not well publicised. Never used it myself as I'm always too busy concentrating on getting the next corner right rather than worrying about whether the last corner went well.
