Traffic for the BGP nowadays.
So how is it nowadays?
I haven't been to a major event at Silverstone since the new road was built. The road looks good, but does it cope. What time do you have to arrive near Silverstone to get in at, say 9am (or whenever)? |

Being a Marshal,I can't comment too much on the flow of traffic into the circuit, because I'm usually in before 6a.m. If you are unsure about travelling,it's best to play safe and arrive as early as possible There are various road closures and oneway systems in operation over the weekend and anyone travelling to Silverstone, without a car pass, will be directed away from the Circuit!! Getting away on Sunday is another story.....

Ive not been to the GP since before the new road but for WTCC earlier this year the traffic went from the Green Man in Oxford direction and from Towcester in the other. So I would expect it to be double for the GP

I've been driving to and from Silverstone for the Gp since 2002. I've never had any major problems.
I think eversince the faiasco of 2000, they've been forced to sort it out. |

And there will be plenty of one way traffic systems in place on Saturday and Sunday.
