Glenn Seton had a major off at PI in testing a couple of years back. Pretty sure he rolled it. Not sure which year though.
Unfortunate to see Don Watsons name in there. Was working for him at the time and brings back many memories of a great man. |

So, are you after the V8's predecessors as well?

Ask Glenn Seton how easy it is to roll a Falcon in the Turn 1 Gravel Trap at QR - 1999, V8 Sprint Round, Practice, if my memory is correct.

Marty inverted an Astra at Adelaide in a big way. The "other" Astra was inverted by someone else at Turn 2 at PI but not Marty. He cops enough from those of us who know him (the tape gets a work out by those he lives with every time a group of us pay a visit) without being blamed for that one as well. |

greg murphy was a DNS for race 3 in 1997 @ PI so it was either after race 2 (he was classed as a finisher on conrod VESRIX) or on the warmup for race 3.

Paul Weel tipped his Falcon over in 2002 at Oran Park. I think it was in practice before the race, or maybe race 1. Anyway, they got the car going for the second race.

Also Mark Larkham rolled in Barbagallo a couple of years back, His wheel came of on his way to the grid for the first race I think, and spun into the dirt and rolled it. And didnt Jason Richards roll at Oran Park last year in practice or was it Wills. I know it was a Dynamik car.

Spook- IIRC, I think 2/3rds of Seton's problem was the freshly laid grass rolls on the outside of t1. I remember a couple of cars becoming beached before the gravel trap that weekend!
Wasn't it Paul Weel that went tipsy over at T1 Oran Park, and I think it was Jason Richards went A oiver T exiting the bridge there last year in practice. |
