Which circuit has the best toilets?
Facilities are seriously lacking at a lot of the UK circuits ( or they were when I last visited most of them) so what is your opinion?

Yep, Rockinghams are good. Went there for the first CART race and was very impressed.

I can remember being in the bottom paddock at Brands one year when raw sewage was running down the tarmac. They really were not bothered when we complained. It was a very hot day as well !!

Certainly since the Doc took over at Brands Hatch, one of the first priorities was to refurbish the toilets, which are now in a very good condition (end of pitlane). In addition, at most meetings a cleaner is in regular attendance throughout the day. Well done, MSV.

Yes, JP certainly seems to be smartening up his venues and sorting out the basics. For example, the Snett circuit staff were in an office upstairs by the startline with the media centre below on the ground floor. Now, the office is downstairs with the media area alongside. Upstairs has been refurbished to generate money as a corporate sponsor suite with views of the pits/start etc. Common sense.

Rockingham has the best ones and as for Croft, well it would be nice if there were some!
Actually that is unfair... there is a portacabin in the paddock but you do have to hold the cubicle door on yourself! |

Laguna Seca gets my vote, especially turns 1 and 8/8A (Corkscrew). At T1 you get to use the beautifully maintained, relatively new "flushies" behind the media centre, and there are also well-kept flushies at the top of the Corkscrew.
Honorable mention to the Aquarium washrooms at T2 at Long Beach! keke PS. There is a rumour that Mosport's washrooms have been greatly improved since the last time I was there. Confirm or deny, guys! |

Best have to be Silverstone and Rockingham, as for the worst Croft and Le Mans (tip if you do go to Le Mans, use the ones in the musesum)

Away from motorsport for a moment - the worst ever had to be at Knebworth in June 1978 when Genesis were headlining.
The gents was a hessian walled area containing the 'troughs' which led to a round sunken tank about 20 feet across, flush (excuse the pun) with the ground without a lid. Someone was smimming in it... Must have been the drugs. |

I thought there may have been more replies to this. Lets face it the facilities really are bad at a lot of the circuits and when you pay something like 30 quid?? to watch the BTCC you expect a bit more. Maybe spend some cash on the ordinary punters instead of the corporates who stand at the back of the room and don't watch the race anyway.

This year my girlfriend needed to go, when we were at Tetre Rouge. Took about an hour to find any, there were supposed to be some near the bridge according to the map, but couldn't find them anywhere. In the end we went over the motorway into one of the campsites... My own experience, the ones in the village were horrible, in fact most of them were. You really need lots of decent ones at a place/event like that. Silverstone seemed good when I was there a few weeks ago. |
