Rockingham ASCAR

Today I visited my first ASCAR race at Rockingham, Corby.
What an absolute fantastic facility!! Looking forward to seeing bigger grids!!

Might want to mention that the Tamworth Tornado won all 3 ASCAR races, in dominant fassion in the standings he is 17points ahead of Colin white, and them two are 100points clear, Kelv looks good for the title.

Kelvin was awesome all weekend.

4 wrecked cars doesn't help but the crowd seemed to love every minute... even applauding the oil clearing crews!

was brilliant.. was surprised! i thought these yanks were mad loving nascars, but theres summin about them thats good.
bigger grids, which next year no doubt there will be, and itll be amazing!
Rockingham is the best venue. can see everything!

oh and they need to make the cars reliable, cant be that hard can it? they aint exactly complicated!!

Kinda neat seeing three or four cars going into a corner & rubbing fenders together, huh? I like OWR too, but they can't do nearly the things that are capable in a stock car w/o wrecking each other.

Moncada69 and anyone else who hasn't seen ASCAR yet. It's on regularly on MOTORS TV (satellite channel 416). Next programme is 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday 12th) and then again at 18:00 on Saturday 14th.
It is a must see - both on TV and in the flesh.

It does need more cars if the series is really going to succeed - and it does need more support at the track as well.

I sincerely hope it gets it. For this British NASCAR fan - ASCAR is the best thing to happen in the UK for years.
