2-litre Sports Cars
While skimming through the only volume of Sport Auto that I have (1971) I was surprised to find some 2-litre Sports Cars chassis numbers listed at the 300 km d'Auvergne (August 1971 p63-65).
The cars listed are: Marko - T212/23 Larrousse - M660/01 Elford T212/17 Bonnier T212/18 Swart B19-71/12 Burton B19-71/10 Edwards T212/26 Swietlik T210/09 Hanson Taydec 1-004 Mk 2 Crooker T210/14 Bridges B19-71/7 Robinson B16/4 Andruet/Cosson 908/02/16 Zadra T210/20 Knight Chevron-BMW B8/84 Tilmant/Dubos B16/34 Cochet Lotus 47 gt/73 Ken Walker B16/1 Hine B19-71/8 What other onformation do we have on 2-litre sports chassis numbers? And more. The same writer, Philippe Hazan, gives chassis numbers in his article on the Sport 2-litre runners in the 1000 km de Paris (Dec 1971 p41)
Red Rose (Jaussaud-Bridges) B19/25 Finkel-Serpaggi T212-18 Canon Racing (Burton-Wollek) B19/10 Hanson-Howlings T210/14 Swietlik T210-212/9 I guess M Hazan would be a rather useful source for anyone researching this series. Allen |

Hi drifty
That's the only year I have. And no, I still haven't bought that book; maybe Santa will bring it? I found an email: Hazan-dot-philippe-at-wanadoo-dot-fr but my French isn't good enough to ask him if he kept his notebooks from this period. Who speaks confident French? Allen |

I don't like using translation software as it usually produces utter rubbish. M Hazan would probably understand my English better than he would understand what was generated. I'll write something and get my wife to correct it.
PS I just used 1-Click on Amazon.fr - that really is one very, very clever web site. |

I found record that Foitek raced a T210 at Bremgarten on 31/05/70.
From Lola's build record, only the first 4 cars were delivered before June 1970. Chassis # 1 is widely recorded as being driven by Bonnier Chassis # 2 shows up as Bonnier as well although references are a bit sketchy. Chassis # 4 is widely recorded as DeCadanet's car This leaves chassis # 3 to be Foitek's Can anyone confirm any of this, in particularly chassis # 2 as being one of Bonnier's cars? Thanks Jim Keller |

Bonnier drove Regis Fraisinnet's car in the opening round of the opening round of the Euro 2-litre championship. Eric Broadley persuaded Fraisinnet to let Bonnier drive the car as the works car wasn't ready, as according to Autosport, only one car coild be prepared in time and the customer came first... It was called the first customer chassis which I guess makes it chassis 2
