diz should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
NW FF1600 Oulton Park 30th July - Some more new drivers

With 18 days to go, there are 43 entries. When the usual 'late entry' suspects put their entries in, I expect to have 56 minimum and hopefully over 60 come the day.

So who is new this time.

Firstly, Steve Jensen is bringing his Swift SC92 up from Castle Combe for an away day. Steve is a front runner at Combe and should go well.

Phil Bisgrove - a regular a few years back - is hoping to complete the season in Dave Harwood's Road + Stage Van Diemen RF86

Juicie Bruceie will be out in the B J Welding Van Diemen RF00, having debuted the car at Mallory last weekend.

Lee Chatburn is making his Opal Telecom North West FF1600 debut He has acquired the ex-Chris Hodgen Van Diemen RF90. Lee, from Albrighton in Shropshire, has been commuting to contest the Northern Ireland Championship since last season, in a car hired from Mike Edgar Racing. He intends to continue this arrangement for the rest of this season, whilst planning to use his new car in selected mainland events, as a precursor to a full NW campaign in 2006.

Steve Nixon has moved home from the North East to Macclesfield and is switching fron the Darlington Motor Club Sports Saloon series to single seaters. He now actually works in the same place as Mike Mullins's wife Jane {it's a small world}. Steve has bought the ex Sarah Minshaw RF86 from the bloke with the foreign name who took the car in part ex when Sarah had the RF93 from him [that Jason sort of modified in last year's Moose Trophy]

Full grids on the International Circuit.

That's what it's all about.

Can't wait.

Someone mention cake?
Where, I want some now!

Seems like bloody ages since I last saw the NWFF's and am looking forward to this one.
Need to get as many days in before the end of the season as it looks like 2005 will be my last year of Marshalling.

Diz, do you know if Alan Pike is planning an outing at this meeting? Better still Blue Nose....if your reading this mate, are you planning to be out in it?.....Only reason I'm asking is that I would like to run No.2 on the car and I found out today that it is registered to you.
If anyone knows the answer to this I'd be grateful......I need to get the stickers ordered.

Cheers.

I think you will be okay mate. As far as I am aware, Pikey has sold his car, so won't be out to play for the foreseeable...................

John Loebell has Alan's car as a hire car after buying it from him but he may well be running it as number 2 anyway?

Lee - email John Loebell and Steve Burns

Chris,

I spoke with Steve Burns who said it was registered to Pikey. He has me pencilled in in case Alan is not racing, from the messages above I think it's fair to say Alan won't be. Shame though, I hope he is back in racing soon, Alans a top bloke.

Just in case - can someone PM me with John Loebells mobile number. Cheers.

wow, no not me, I rang up to hire the car to find it had already gone. I've certainly not retired I've just got a car in bits at the moment and stuggling to get it back together, so I was looking to hire the car to come down and try the circuit. Just realised how that read. I typed it as I got off the phone to Medina.

Sorry chaps no Oulton for me, I'd have loved to though.

As far as I know Dave Hart still has the Swift.......Would be a top car to drive in the post 90 race.

I would love the both races to top 60 entries for one weekend.

no idea who's out in it, I didn't ask hence why re-reading my post it looks like an "unknown" driver, simpley because I didn't know or didn't ask. I know the car hasn't been entered into the race yet, probably why they don't know who's using it.

Why not simpley choose a different number other than number 2 ? that will save all the worry and rushing around.

If it is a new driver in the Medina car he/she will have to register a number with the BRSCC and 2 is already taken by Alan Pike. I guess you should call Alan and ask if he will call the BRSCC and give you the number (if he is not going to use it)
