Matt why not give Bob Kerly a ring.

I HIGLY rate him. or if you just want parts - see what he's got.

Matt, regarding the manufacturing contract that you mention, the deal is that all 'new' parts for Kent engines )are now supplied by either Tony Broster at Newbridge Engineering based in Devon (for Southern competitors)or Neil Bold based in Manchester (for the North and the Midlands.) They have the exclusive rights to these various bits e.g cranks, pistons, cams etc etc, and anyone else should have been suppied by either Tony or Neil. If they are not then they could be regarded as suspicious. As far as blocks go, which I suspect you need cos I heard your engine pop, then look around, they are available from surprising sources as well as from Neil or Tony. Hope this helps, and look forward to next season.......

cheers people. Neil is the person that has always done my engines, I was just wondering about the supply of parts and manufacture of them. £500 for a recon block from Ford and 450 for a new Crank. How much are modern parts for modern engines with Steel cranks?

All this talk about regulation changes to make the racing fairer, how about regulation changes to make the engines cheaper? ie open up the sources that parts are avaiable from and creating a bit of competition on price?!
