kmchow should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Check out the Autosport website? BMW wouldn't mind returning to tin tops provided it is an "international series" and does not interfere with the F1 programme.

The "international" clause rules out DTM pretty much, but the new mid-size sedan Euro Superstars series sounds very interesting... Perhaps they will race in that?

But with the 5 series? Why not just return to '01??

You are as ever the optimist Mr Chow

Yes it would be good to see them back, but who would drive for them? Would Smokin Joe come back?

The typical BMW drivers like Cecotto, etc.. Perhaps Jo would come back if Superstars takes off. Afterall, it is more fun to race on int'l tracks, not just German tracks.
Or Morbidelli in Italy? Morris!! Brabham!!

I'd love to see Gerhard Berger, Steve Soper and Smokin' Jo back in the Bimmers, but it'll never happen. Will it ?

Jo is a distict possibility; he still feels he 'belongs' with the Schnitzer BMW team. As for Soperman, well, he's just retired. Reckons he'd rather drive sports cars anyway...

Berger?! When was the last time he drove a Touring Car competitively?! 1985?!

I think Gerhard may be considering the DTM; he's probably waiting to see where it goes. If they go to the Superstars, that just makes yet one more major Touring Car series. There are enough different types already without them. Super-every-bloody-thing. That's the second most over-used word of the past five years, behind everyone's favourite, 'Millennium'. Most people can't say it without a few tries and even fewer can spell it. Did I do it right?
