nem should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Which chassis/engine combo will dominate in 2002.

I think the Lola/Honda will be the going thing.

Bodes well for Adrian Fernandez.

Looks like Lola has been in the wind tunnel more. Reynard looks to not have wanted to spend the money on a lameduck chassis.

Honda would like to repeat as the engine in the series Champions car and whup Toyota yet again.

It will be tough to tell. The Honda-Reynard has been dominant in the last 4 years, but the Toyota-Lola is very good as well. Has Reynard developed a 7 speed box for the ovals? If not expect the Lolas to be very strong on the ovals especially with Kenny Brack and TCGR. The Reynards will probably be strong on the road circuits as in past.

This could be the best chance for a Team Green driver to break through.

As this will be the final year for this type engine, we will see parity among the engines like we havent seen before. No one is going to be too keen on developing any new bits for an engine at the end of it's life cycle.

I think that the Lola will have the edge over the Reynard this year.

really ?

Of the 12 road/street course races run in 2001

5 were won by Lola's (Mexico, Laguna, Portland, Elkhart, and Australia)

4 were won by Penske modified Reynards (Detroit, Mid Ohio, and Houston)

3 were won by standard customer Reynards (Toronto, Cleveland, and Vancouver)

Penske's vast resourses allow them to modify the Reynard quite a bit to the point that it is in a class by itself.

If you ignore the Penske results, Reynard-Hondas had a rather disappointing season, and in 2002, there will be no Penske Reynards in CART.
